Pashmina

From mountain to masterpiece.

Woven from the undercoat of Changthangi goats that graze in the high altitudes of Ladakh, real Pashmina is a fibre unlike any other — feather-light, gossamer-soft, and incredibly warm. This ancient craft, believed to have come to Kashmir through trade routes from Tibet and Central Asia, was refined over generations by local weavers, known as kani and rafugar masters.

Each Maison Kashmir shawl is hand-spun and handwoven, often taking weeks or even months to complete. Some bear intricate embroidery in the style of Sozni, others are woven directly on the loom in the rare kani technique — once reserved for royalty.

To wear a true Pashmina is to drape history on your shoulders — a luxury not just of fabric, but of time, care, and human touch.
